We have had 17 days in a row of moisture, about 5 inches in total, followed by two nights of killing frost. Sure makes the thought of sunshine and warm temperatures exciting and welcome. A couple of mornings ago we awoke to two promises of better weather. Maybe now harvest can start !!!

We've been flat out swathing for a few days now. The crop looks better than expected in both quantity and quality. 10% drowned out another 15% poor from wet feet and the other 75% excellent. We dodged frost damage on most of it but it still would take another 2 weeks to straight cut it.
