RAIN!!!

We have a chance tomorrow through sunday, so fingers crossed. And for no thunderstorms!
We had some last night and this morning. Rain gauge broke so I don't know how much. The weather radar showed more rain north of us. There is a few small puddles in the driveway. B had cut a small alfalfa field which he didn't get baled. I need to thank him because we sure need the rain. We shut down the irrigation ditch to dry it out. The moss in the ditch was so thick the water would barely flow through it. Plan A was to dry out the moss to kill it. Sort of hard to dry the moss out when it gets rained on. But we needed the rain.

We shut the irrigation ditch down to dry things out to start cutting hay next week. No rain since April. We try to dry thing out and then this rolls through. Worked better tan a rain dance. We should have tried to dry things back in May.
How much did you get? We were at the neighbors when it hit, the rain gauge said .75" but bet there was more as it was coming down sideways....flattened their hay. Came home and we didn't even have puddles.

I am guessing with a little computer assistance that I got around half an inch, Puddles in the driveway. Still some puddles this morning. A little bit of the hay got knocked over.

We didn't get the rain we usually do in June. Two cutting baled and stacked with no damage. It keeps threatening to give us a good soaker, but so far it is just an idle threat.

Sprinkling when we left for church, raining good there (about 25 miles away) rained the whole time were there. Got home to just having the dust settled. Everyone at church kept asking us if were getting the rain.

Rain here this morning, maybe .5 inches. Cold 56 degrees, wind blowing 5 to 15, so it will dry it out much too fast. It helped clean the air some. Lots of dust this month.

How is this? I am usually in the dry spot. It is a light rain falling now. This is the 4th day in a row with rain. No wind except during that thunder storm on Friday. But it came down in sheets during that storm. The driveway has puddles all along it. Cold enough that I turned the heat on yesterday. It is only 50 degrees out right now. They were going to start cutting hay today. I think that has been postponed for a couple days.
