So they have started construction on the 500 mega watt B to H power line. Had a small issue with one of the laborers and some loose horses. I explained to him about open range. Good thing it was well broke horses not some snarly range cow who would have ate his lunch. But just now I was at the post office. A man who lives up Shirtail Road (above the cement plant) said the power line crew started a fire. Running equipment on 18 inch tall bone dry grass..... who would have thought? It is going to be100 again today with the humidity at 11%. Who would think you could start a fire in this weather. The guys working down by me have a 500 gallon fire wagon. It sounds like this other crew had nothing with them to fight fire. Our Rangeland Fire Protection Asso. (RFPA) guys have been spending nearly half of their time fighting one fire or another. Just what they need, another fire.
