My son is looking for a team roping prospect

He is looking at a gelding by JA Peppy Roan Bar out of LJS Zipposgoldengirl, I know nothing about roping, is this not a good roping pedigree. I read that Zippo Pine Bar produces slow horses usually.

'Slow horses' or did you mean 'show horses'?

We have sold, or helped sell rope horses for many years in the past.
It is my opinion Zippo Pine Bars offspring works in about every capacity. Rope horses come from all bloodlines. Don't judge one based on bloodlines. Roan Bar horses generally are good, if JA Peppy Roan Bar truly goes back to Roan Bar, which I am assuming he does.
Talk to a rope horse trainer and see what they have to say.

Upstate NY. I am assuming Roan Bar is good? He goes back to Roan Bar through Roan Bar Valentine. Thanks for welcoming me!

Roan Bar is an old bloodline. Very popular at the time. Goes back to 3 bars, as many did.
Give us an extended pedigree if you would.

Those papers reflect some rope horses on the top side. The bottom side shows speed.
Just going by the papers, I would take a chance on him, of course confirmation and
disposition can't be told just by looking at some papers.
There are some on there that I really like but they go back pretty far.
