Mineral ? for Faster horses

I really like their mineral but thats where it end's for me.

I was set up to be a dealer here which I still am only problem is I had a New customer buy from me in June he has more cow's and background's calves so my Rep's figured they would set him up as a dealer 15 miles away. He's closer to my other customer's so now they are buying from him as it's closer. When my mineral run's out I will be looking else where the getting humped feeling does'nt sit well with me.They said I should get some sort of commission from his sales but that has'nt happened. My rep keeps coming to get mineral and want's it for what I paid in june well it's my money tied up and the price has risen $2 per bag since then they can get bent.So for me all the time and leg work was a total waste of time I most likely will switch brands pretty soon.I have had a few smaller customer's call for mineral and I've sent them to the local feed store.

Same thing happened to me Denny. I like the product but they will make anyone, anywhere a dealer pretty much irregardless of how much they buy. :???:

Would'nt be so bad but 2 months before they were telling me if I did'nt move more product they were going to dump me. A month later I had 2 orders totaling $9000. Then they pull this dumb dumb dumb..

So are ya'll feeding Vigertone yr round??? I'm new to the stocker deal I grew up and have been running a dairy for the last 12 yrs and our minerals were always mixed in with the feed. Now we are running stocker cattle and I now next to nothing about what mineral to use. We used Vigortone for replacement heifers on wheat but took them off of it in the summer and used a Mooremans hi-mag. Those were dairy heifers though. I've been looking around but of course everyone says theirs is the best but what I'm concerned with is the cattle getting what they need and helping them cycle to the best of their potential for re-breeding. Any advice is appreciated.

Ok, JL, I found out what that mineral is/was at B&B Feed.
Here it is straight from the horses' mouth  :

This is a protein type product we manufacture for B and B, it is similar to Forage Pro, not quite as much fortification using cottonseed meal.

We have more and more people using the Forage Pro type products for a longer period of time, some are using it year round.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My comment now: So that is why it was cheaper. It is a PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT, cottonseed based, not just mineral, although it does have a good mineral package in it. In our area it is available made from Soybean and it is a wonderful product; but again, not mineral totally.

Hope this helps!

Hmmm.....I don't think that's what it is. there's no cotton seed meal in it at all. It looks just like the other mineral I was getting, that was plainly labeled Vigortone. I think tomorrow I'm just gonna call up the lady at the feedstore and ask her what the deal is. See what kinda reply I get there. I wanna thank you FH for all you do for us here. Anytime we have a question you go above and beyond to find out for us.
