I see that the House of Representatives has approved the bill to adopt permanent Daylight Saving Time. Is this something you agree with?

How will it affect your working day?

It wont affect my work day but it will be 8:00 in the morning before it gets light here. It doesn't really matter to me. I go out when it gets daylight and come in when it starts getting dark. All it changes it what the clock says and I try to avoid looking at the clock.

I have never agreed with the Daylight Saving Time. It has a negative impact on sleep patterns. Being retired it doesn't really affect me at this period of my life. But any appointments will be made late enough in the morning I can avoid driving in the dark, as oncoming headlights are difficult to deal with.

Growing up in the country I had about an hour bus ride to school. It was barely daylight when the bus picked up some of the kids. Now, for some this will mean waiting for the bus in the dark.

For some that have work or appointments away from the ranch more chores and livestock checks will be done in the dark.

Mr. FH says cows and horses can't tell time. (Consequently, neither can he. 🤣).
He never wears a watch, he has a flip phone that he usually doesn't know where it is.
He used to at least try to know what time it is and wear a pocket watch. He gave that up long ago.
I hate the time change. Just leave it one way or the other!!!!!!

I ask my dog what time is it very often. That is followed by telling her if she wore a watch she would know. She just looks at me and wags her tail. I think she figures it is time for a treat or time to get petted.

We don't change time ere as the time zone split the province so they left it at Central time which would put one side on permanent Daylight savings.
Just south of us in Montana the kids are leaving school in the dark at 3:30 over here on the eastern side of the state but not on the western side of this wide state.

Sure, why not! It will help out in the winter for the earlier risers and will be better than the silly time change that served no purpose. Keeping it the same will help with my bi annual aggravation over such stupidity. The idea of getting an extra hour daylight by changing the clock, is the longest lasting liberal scam ever forced on humanity.

I could never figure out how to set my sundial up an hour or take away an hour. I was always lost on cloudy days when I couldn't see my shadow. Imagine my confusion during a solar eclipse. I am reposting this since it will soon be a historical work of literature. 🤣

From deep within the archives of Ranchers Net, I bring you: Rojos Last Day

The geniuses that started this nonsense, certainly weren't ranchers or farmers. Try explaining the hour difference to the cows lined up for morning hay after the rooster crows the same time as the day before, while rancher Faye is trying to adjust to the change so other elements of life that depend on the clock, can be timely.

On more than one spring Sunday dinner, I had chicken and dumplings. It was a hassle getting out the pressure cooker, but no one promised that ranch life would be easy. Rojo Red, made his final mistake by inciting the cows to bellow, goats to scream bloody murder, barn cats to break out in an off key chorus, and the dogs barking for no reason. Crow if he wants, but inciting rebellion, insurrection, and creating chaos, was inexcusable.
