Did you buy your tree or you have woods to go out and chop one down or opted for artificial tree this year?
 
Only trees here are junipers and all the small ones burned up in the fire on my place and for a long ways to the west and south. We haven't put up a tree since we moved here. It is just the 2 of us. 50 some years ago my Dad raised Christmas trees. You cut trees for $2 a foot.

But I remember when a friend and our daughter would go horseback to the fir and pine trees on the hill behind our house and pick one and drag it in horseback. I wish I had taken pictures of that. Missed opportunities that I regret now.

So much of special memories before digitalization were not captured. I wish we had more films for the "Kodak" moments.

Can't figure out how to put the writing with the picture. We go cut one every year with our neighbors who are like family. Make a day of it. I think this is one of the prettiest tree's we have ever had. There are only two of us too but I love Christmas!
