Broke Cowboy has rode over the hill.

He was quite the man, got to meet him a few times, he stopped in at the ranch and took a Border Collie pup back to Alberta for us to Hayguy. He didn't really want to part with him after the trip. Loved his dogs,
Last summer they stopped in and I was able to show him and Wendy the badlands from My side x side. I took it easy and he really enjoyed the ride.
Hard to see such a big powerful vibrant man being taken down by ALS.

Such sad news for us, but better for him. I always thought he was a very special person. I called him, but he was hardly able to talk.
He added so much to ranchers.net; he is gone but not forgotten.

Thank you, Dave, for sharing this with us. I read the obituary; he lived quite a life. I was always sad that he had to sell the farm that they loved and move to western Canada. I know that he trained Afghanistan soldiers at one time and was injured in that country. I don't think the Canadian government treated him very well after all his many years of service to them.
