A wee bit of rainfall

We are forecast to get snow tomorrow and especially Tuesday.
This one from the NWS in Billings is mild compared to the one from Weather Underground.
It sounds like the wind tonight could be dangerous. Already our lights have flickered a
few times.
Batten down the hatches!!!!!

We got a quarter inch or so of rain. Down here low just behind the house thing are greening up. Only about half inch or so tall but pretty well green except right at the base of sage brush which burned hot. We have had plenty of moisture so once it warms up we will have grass.
FSA decided to cost share new fence. I have to run in to sign papers tomorrow and a fencer will be here in couple weeks. They are rebuilding a corral for B right now. Once that is done fences that are low enough to get to are next on the list.
Nice to hear you are starting to see some green. And it will be so nice for the fence and corrals to start getting rebuilt.

Some of you boys have been up on the range too long. Pantyhose or nylons never made it past 2000.

What you may confuse with pantyhose , are called leggings. To confuse even more, thicker stretch denim legging are called jeggings. I tried em on once and didn't like how "personal" they were. I prefer my old tapered leg USA made Levi's called mom jeans. Soft, comfortable and breathe, yet tough enough for work. They accent a girls shape while respecting her personal business.

The recreationalist call the under thermal garments, base layers, not long Johns.

On the ranch, Long Johns will always be the name even if they are styled and fitted for women.

What I never understood, is why in the western movies, cowboy long johns were always red. The only ones I ever had or saw hanging on the line were white.

Since we have non ranch experienced readers that may not be aware, I will explain.

In the old days, when a ranch woman went in to town to buy boots, hat, or long johns, she asked for womens cowboy boots, hat, or L J's. There was none of this cowgirl nonsense. Cowboys were either men or women, it was a title that fit their employment., not defined their sex. No such thing as genders in my book, but that is another thread.
