Curt Pate, Whitt Hibberd, Bud Williams, Low Stress

  I find, often, that I prefer the animals, even if they are snot-heads and stupid, I find them to be more predictable than people. It is easier to anticipate the next move that the cow/horse/dog will make if you study their eyes, body etc. With people, one doesn't often have...

    sheep sale

Very good! (on topping the mkt) That's got to make you feel good. As for the set-up of the sale barn, I've not seen one like that. A bit of a challenge??

    You can't save them all

I've wondered about that kind of thing, the long-term affects it has/will have on calves, cows etc. Being that it hasn't just been one fire for a short amount of time, but a long-term deal.

    RFID Tags

Unfortunately, many "producers" don't really care. All they care about is the check they receive from the sale barn.

    Cows at the mudd spa

Sounds like a good system. The fellow I posted about, its about similar to what you had....a 6' culvert with water gaps on both sides (due to there being a stream). ~K

    Cows at the mudd spa

I like that underpass, that's pretty slick! There's a guy in my area that could use something like that. Right now he'll either take down his water gaps and let them cross or he has to block the block the road. Nice pics. ~K

A bull and his maternal sister

Wel....FWIW...I'll take the red cow, and the Hereford bull and his sister. I think those 3 would look great at my place. :-) ~K

A bull and his maternal sister

    THIS IS SO MUCH BULL$*@#

The purpose of making these new "regulations" is to put more $$$ into the Gov't coffers in the form of taxes and fees etc. Interstate commerce regs call for lots of taxes and fees and surcharges etc. IMHO, the 'powers that be' are attempting to tap into a currently untapped resource for $$. K

    Don't make my expensive mistake...

Exactly. In my small herd here, doing it PatB's way is fine, however, where I work that just is not practical. As Frank stated the vaccines would be warmed up by the time of administering etc. The amount of time it takes to get all the vaccinating done would be increased, there are just too...
