    Kit Pharo in Wisconsin

This thread is actually a lot about what makes the cattle industry strong and viable. That being freedom of choice and diversity. A phrase like "ought to" is kinda like the word "should" to me. I took "should" out of my personal dictionary a while back. Using the words "ought to" are a little...

    Kit Pharo in Wisconsin

Kit visited our neck of the woods a couple of weeks back. Forestburg Alberta. Lots of good thoughts and worth the time to listen. I was a bit concerned with the 1250 pound steers he talked of coming off of frame 3 to 4 cows and bulls intil I realised that he likely added at least a frame score...

    Good Sunday Mornin'

Boy Saopweed, we got some work to do. That dear wife of yours was in my church this morning. Your story today reminded me of what we can do for each other when times are a bit tough. Not only are we all equal, but we all have equal ability to help one another if we just make a little effort...

    faster horses--new gate sign

You could have the artist put a little more metal in the area of your cowboy belly to make it more realistic. Are those two holes between the eyes of that skull what I think they are. How did you get her to stand still for the second one? On second thought - I guess those are nail...

    Water Holes

Brother in Law out east of Big Muddy told me they drop a couple of black toilet bowl floats in the nose hole. Wind keeps em bobbing and the black color attracts the suns heat. Never tried it but sounds like a plan.

    Good Sunday Mornin'

Thanks shortgrass. Especially thanks for the three words that you share each weekend that remind me about dedication. After reading your notes for a good long time - I started to see the merit once again in spending an hour each "Good Sunday Morning" in dedication and spirituality. As for the...

    Jim Lent's Linebreeding Book

Who's the author of Anxiety the 4th Ben? Our linebreeding has been more by chance than design to date but made a concerted effort with both the Welsh Balcks and Galloways in this breeding season.

    Frost on Friday

About -5 on the Celcius thing up here in Alberta yesterday morning. Must have picked up a bit of cold as it headed your way Soapweed. Time to use some of those frozen Alfalfa pastures before all the leaves fall to the ground I guess.

    Hey Randy K.

Sorry about that Maple Leaf. Actually Oldtimer the previous owner is the guy who names the bull, and there is a story behind that one. (Maybe they call him "old grump", or "Kaiser" at home but) His registered name is "Regina Intoxication". I usually only sell two year old bulls but young John...
