OT, where can one buy those crystal balls like you must use to learn what "so called industry leaders" do or do not do?
In other words, how do you know they do or do not "research" the internet?
Some of us get blasted by people posting on ranchers.net for making statements indicating we know what others are thinking. Guess that doesn't apply to those who think alike.
On the other hand, maybe I don't want one of your crystal balls.....I really don't have time to read more about "true happenings" since that term sounds like it refers to plain old coffee shop gossip, doesn't it? We all hear plenty of that, usually with little benefit to anyone outside the local area
Most ranchers can benefit more by talking to industry leaders (not only organization leaders, but to business and education and allied industry leaders), asking them questions, telling them of problems we see in the cattle/beef industry and working together to improve this industry for us all than we can by just cussing our problems to each other.
Maybe you didn't know it, but that is what leaders of our state affilate organizations and NCBA actually DO! The state affiliate meetings where such leaders come out are recently finished for 2006, and the national meeting is coming up late Jan. & early Feb., 2007. Check it out! There will be more valuable and useful exchanges of information that you can imagine!
