Sale barn

Had to go to town today, so I stopped by one of our local sale barns for a few minutes. They were runnin a bunch of black brangus bladie pairs, and I mean they would hardly cast a shadow. BCS mostly 3's and 4's, with calves 60 to 100 lbs. They couldn't have been bred back yet, and the condition they are in they won't breed back until they gain a couple hundred pounds. And here is the suprise, they were bringing $1,100 - $1,400. :???: :???:

Baby calves here are bringing from $250 - $450. With the average being $300 - $350. Makes one wonder if they are giving $450 for a calf what they think fall prices will be? :?
