does anyone know the origin of the saying " wearing grandma's beads" :?

I don't know if this is what your asking, but this is the whole saying:

"If you have dirt in the creases or wrinkles around your neck –
You're wearing Grandma's necklace.
(or)
You're wearing Grandma's beads"

I'd never heard it before but it makes me think it refers to how women of grandmothers era worked so hard and didn't have the materialist things of today.

We always called them "Granny Beads" sweat+dirt+wrinkles=Granny Beads
