    Best windbreaks

Wondering what kind of wind breaks you folks have. A couple of years ago I seen one that was built in canada, which was tin, built at a angle where the calves could get under the slope and the cows could not. Just wondering what works for you, I am getting tired of plowing out windbreaks this...

    I still can't

I think, if you use different bulls, you will always have the ups and downs. Even if the same bull is used onall the cows,in my experiences, you will still have the diffrent types of critters, due to the different type of genetis of the cows.A little too much white, for me, but they look good ...

Its been a long time, and I have a question for you bull buy

I strongly agree with you. Disposition is at the top of my bulls criteria, right behind is milk, which in turn means the milking ability and what kind of uddder the cow has, for no milk the poor calf has to eat his wheaties pretty dry. The cows in my heard will last a good 12 to 15 years. 18...

    Liquid feeds, Good or Bad?

The heifers are doing great on the loomix. Not much waste on the ground or no loss to the snow, mud or cracks in the ground. I am paying 25 cents per pound. If I am figuring right its cheaper to go loomix than cake at $215/ton for a 20% range cake, Plus I still have to go and buy Mineral for...

    Liquid feeds, Good or Bad?

I just started feeding our 1st calvers Loomix liquid feed. They have been grazing out all winter and started them on it about 2 weeks ago. Now I've heard that Nutra-lix liquid feed is better. Wondering if anyone has got more info than I have. Went to liquid feed vs cake for the reason of man...

If i will have to they should too!

I dont have anything against a deer, they just look so good hanging on the wall, or on a fence or gate some wheres. True, they were here first, but when I supply the grass and hay all year long, why cant they at least give the land owner a few tags free for all the hassle they cause. It would...

If i will have to they should too!

I personally think that if the goverment thinks that the animal ID is such a great thing for all the livestock raisers, growers, dealers or just hobby farmers, way shouldnt they have to implant and tag all their animals too. That way, they could track all their prarie dogs. They can come out...
