BEEF and PASTA SKILLET SUPPER

1 recipe of Basic Ground Beef Mixture
1 small zucchini, sliced
1 green pepper, cubed
1¼ cup sliced mushrooms
½ tsp EACH dried basil and oregano
¼ tsp dried chili peppers (optional)
1 can (12 oz) whole kernel corn including liquid
1½ cup penne, elbow or rotini pasta, raw
2 medium tomatoes, cut in large chunks (optional)


Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. In a large saucepan or deep skillet, combine basic ground beef mixture with zucchini, green pepper, mushrooms and seasonings; cook over medium heat and stir for 5 minutes. Stir in corn, noodles and ¼ cup water; heat until hot. Stir in tomato just before serving if desired.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
