    Liquid feeds, Good or Bad?

One horse with access to concentrated product hardly indicates that it's dangerous for horses. In any kind of practical situation with decent management, there's just not much of a chance of a problem. I'm not a fan of Loomix, and I would not recommend feeding in open troughs. Just much more...

Question for the "Straight Black Commercial Cow/Calf Ma

You sure like to bash Cargill.......phos is up because demand is up.....more corn acres, among other things, not because suppliers "chose" to raise prices.

Faster Horses - It actually works

Most likely it's Altosid. If so, it's very safe...much safer than caffeine, salt, or salicylic acid. It's a "feed through", which means it passes through the g.i tract to end up in the manure, where it inhibits development of the pupae.

Vigertone mineral- why better than others????

Cargill didn't raise phos prices simply because they wanted to. True, Cargill does produce a substantial percentage of the phos, but not nearly enough to be able to set prices. Remember, phos is an important part of fertilizer. Demand is raising prices. Can you say 90 million acres of corn...

    Weatherized Mineral

The mineral nutrition in grass changes as it matures, just like the protein and energy does. Young, growing grass will have higher level of most minerals. Then, as that grass matures, the mineral content declines. It also becomes less digestible, so they eat less of it. Feeding the same...

    Weatherized Mineral

Not sure why leaching of color is significant. It's not necessarily related to nutrients.

    Minerals?

It's a byproduct. Nothing wrong with it, though.

    Mineral question

16% is an awful lot of phos and still have good consumption. I would bet this is part (maybe most?) of the consumption problem. If you're feeding any additional supplements, that will also tend to depress mineral intake. Combine feeding a protein supplement with a really high phos in the...

    salt & mineral feeders

Are you running stockers, brood cows? There is a cool season grass, high mag formulation (Gold). Emerald is warm season when it is actively growing, Bronze is warm season when it has become mature or dormant. There is a great deal of variability in nutrition provided by grass as it progresses...

    salt & mineral feeders

Doggone right we advertise Right Now.....it's a great program with great value and we do everything we can to communicate that fact! It's a very simple program.....and really cost effective because it allows strategic mineral supplementation based on the grass maturity phase.
