Calving camera

Post by Flatop » Thu Dec 26, 2019 1:57 pm

So I'm getting older and am thinking I would like to be able to stay warm in the house during the night checks on the heifers, unless there is something going on. I know quite a few folks have these cameras set up, and am wondering what you all have & what are some pros & cons. I would set it on top of a 30 pole & my calving lot is about 150' x 400'. I might want to set one up in the barn, too, for when I have something in.

Thanks for your input.

Welcome to Ranchers - kinda quiet around here lately. A search brings up a few hits with members discussing their calving setups, including cameras. But, nothing within the last year and camera technology is changing very fast.

If you haven't already done so, use the search box in the upper right and type in 'calving camera' to see if those posts will help you. Good luck.
