.... I went to feed the replacements and discovered a poorly fastened gate had allowed the bulls out of the corral and in with the heifers. They could have been out only for a couple of hours. The last two that appeared bred calved today, making a total of four. Live and learn they say..... :dunce:

we ultra-sounded Saturday... Doc didn't spot the early April escape.

Y'know, I never even thought to mention to the vet to watch the heifers for late term at preg testing time. I had actually about forgotten the whole ordeal. At the time one calf had obviously been bred, so I waited the appropriate amount of time and gave her a shot, then proceeded to put it out of my mind.
