A new book is just out, "Sand In My Shoes" by Marianne Beel.
This book is compiled of stories written for a North Platte, Nebraska newspaper over the last 40 years. Over 300 pages of interesting and well written articles about ranch life and some about some of the local people. I haven't read it, but just glanced at the stories inside.
I just picked up a few copies for the Cherry County (Nebraska) Historical Society to have for sale there. These books are available at the local book store "Plains trading post" for 21.95.
