Stringing out

The cowpoke paint patrol

The crew

Through the gate

A good guy on a gate

Cool clear water

Green is such a pretty color

Crossing the Bear Creek bridge

Peach is on the receiving committee.

Cowboys are the last to cross

And now for another bunch

Making headway

Jumping the creek

Is Saddletramp scratching his ear or answering his telephone? Wink

Slickers were the uniform of the day.

Chaps came in handy, too.

The arrow points the way they need to go.

I love to ride in the rain...never got to do enough of it, tho. Shocked

Wish I would have been there.

Looks like your calves are really growing, Soap. Thanks for the
pictures.

Your cattle and grass look great. And the slickers... how exciting to have to wear slickers Very Happy . It's funny how a person's summer outlook totally has changed from ten days ago. This year we should have grass and hay... a combo which hasn't happened since 1999.

Did Saddletramp get a new saddle? I meant to ask when you posted your last set of pictures.

Thanks for sharing!

We had a busy several days last week, and I didn't have time to post pictures. Have some more to put up someday. Anyway, here is a picture of Saddletramp's fine new rig. It was made by Jeff Compton, from Kilgore, Nebraska, and he did wonderful work in making the saddle.

With his new Rolls Royce outfit, we might have to change Saddletramp's name to "Saddlesophisticate" or something similar. Wink Smile

Wow, that is a nice looking saddle Very Happy ! I hope both he and his horses enjoy it, it looks like it doesn't have a lot of extra weight and fits well Wink .

I quite like the young guys horse. Hopefully Ty is going to win us some saddles in a couple weeks-he'll probably deal them off on a new bronc rig though.

The horse is kind of pretty, but he has some idiosyncracies that make it challenging to use him. For starters, he has a paranoia about being saddled in a barn. He absolutely throws a claustrophobic fit. When we use him, we always hobble him just outside the barn door to saddle him. This method works well. The next step is to lead him to the round corral and chouse him around a few times. He likes to buck, but only at the start of the day. After that he is fine. He is a pretty good horse but not a really good horse. Wink
