Photo Contest RULES and Catagory List

New CATAGORIES: (If you have questions, please refer to the rules below the listed catagories). Thanks for your interest everyone!!

Here are the new catagories and dates. Feel free to post something
you would see added as a new catagory.

Jan. 27-Feb. 2:Old Churches
Feb. 3-9: Vehicles older than 1960
Feb. 10-16: Architecture
Feb. 17-24:Kids on horses
Feb. 24-Mar. 1: Old tractors
Mar. 2-8:Chores, or jobs you do on the farm/ranch
Mar. 9-15: Colorful cows
Mar. 16-22: Boots
Mar. 23-29: Pictures of Spring. Baby livestock, green grass,
flowers, whatever spring means to you. The sky is the limit.
March 30-April 5: Wildlife
April 6-12: Hunting pictures
April 13-19: Teams (horses or cows (?) pulling something
April 20-26: Get togethers. Family, community, special occasions.
Anything where several people are gathered to celebrate an occasion.
April 27-May 3: Ranch Semis
May 4-10: Spurs
May 11-17: Branding photo
May 18-24: Caption the photo AGAIN!!!!!!!!
May 25-May 31: DANGEROUS JOBS
June 1-7: Saddles
June 8-14: Cooling off, or staying cool
June 15-21: CHARACTERS--We all know someone like this. Their face reflects so much of who they are, what they have done.
June 22-28:Photos taken in a mirror or reflected on water
June 29-July 5:Reflections in a mirror or in water
July 6-12:
July 13-19:Pictures taken at a RODEO
July 20-26: Ranch Gates or Ranch Signs

July 27-August 2: DOGS
August 3-9:Trees. (Tall trees, short trees, live trees, dead trees,
just as long as it is a Tree or more than one tree.

August 10-16: Windmills
August 17-23: Outhouses
August 24-30 Brands (one a board, gate or cow)
Aug. 31-Sept. 6:Landscapes. This time mountains or waterfalls
Sept. 7-13: Silhouttes
Photo contest postponed because of weather.
Sept. 28-Oct. 4:Rainbows
Oct. 5-11: Images in fog
Oct. 12-18: CATS (I know, I know,but we have to be fair to the cat people here. Razz

)
Oct. 19-25: Billboards (funny, creative, anything you want to share)
Oct. 26-Nov. 1-Halloween Costumes
Nov.2-8: HATS
Nov. 9-15:-Anything you consider to be beautiful
Nov. 16-22: BRIDGES
Nov. 23-29: OLD BARNS
Nov. 30-Dec. 6: Loose horse or horses
Dec. 7-13:A favorite photo, Can be of anything, need not be
taken by you.
Dec. 14-20: Christmas decorations
Dec. 21-27:Old houses

Here are the rules for the first Photo Contest.

1. Photos must be taken by you, unless noted in the Catagory for that week.
2. Photo receiving the most votes wins.
3. Only registered members of ranchers.net can vote.
4. One vote per person.
5. DEADINE: Entries must be submitted to the_jersey_lilly_2000 by Wednesday midnight of each week. Winners will be announced on Saturdays. New contest starts on Sunday of each week.
6. Pictures will be posted on ranchers.net Photo Contest for viewing and voting as the jersey lilly gets to them.
7. Voting ends Fridays at midnight.
8. Winner announced on ranchers.net Photo Contest each Saturday
9. One entry per person per catagory. Thank you.

These rules and/or catagories are subject to change, but cannot change in the middle of a contest. Rule Changes can only take place on Wednesdays, before the start of a new catagory. So watch this site for updates!!!

Hope this all makes sense and we all enjoy the photos. Remember, this is to be FUN!!!!!!!!!

Entries limited to first 10 each week. Catagories will start over so, if your picture didn't make it the first time, resubmit it to cert the next time the catagory comes around. This is to keep the voting SIMPLE.

Well, I will have to enter a picture of Mrs PPRM for that, but it would be unfair....... Dang it, I would score big points but she probably will never see this post, LOL
