The Calgary Stampede has always been the world's greatest rodeo but I'm beginning to see why it got that reputation. I've been getting the boys set up to ride there-the fellow in charge Barry Magrath has been more than helpful-any questions I e-mail him are answered promptly. I just got an e-mail that he'll photopass me so I can go help the boys with their horses behind the chutes. They set them up the days we needed I'm more than impressed with how they're helping out the hicks from the sticks.

They truly do run a firstclass show. You need to remember, as they do, there wouldn't be much of an event without the "hicks from the sticks". City folk don't have a reputation of producing too many rodeo cowboys.

Ty is up in Novice Bareback on July 6th and both him and Austin are up in Novice Saddle Bronc on July 7th. It's going to do the boys so much good to hang around the world class cowboys that will be there. They're going to enter Hardisty and Viling for the 13th. Hopefully they make the short go in Calgary on the 12th.

Not sure how we'll work it-one starts at !'00 the other at 2'30-if they let the boys take their horses early at one and later at another we should be ok. Ty might enter the open too so then we'll be hooped I guess-four head in one perf might be a little much lol.

Well then I'd say Viking and Hardisty are about 30-45 min. apart.Hardisty will be the 1.00 show
