She's taken care of quite a few kids in her day. Don't know for sure exactly what her age is, somewhere around 18 or 19???give or take. But she's still got fire in her battery. She needs a few lbs. Hopefully I can help her with that. We brought her home today. She wondered all over the 66 acres here at the house, she knew there were other horses......she could smell em....she looked for about 2 hours before she finally found em, or they found her. LOL No squabblin whatsoever. She was more interested in eatin grass than bein sociable(sp)
The last lil girl she took care of was ready for a step up horse, and so now, she gets to come live with me.

Here she is......Miss French Fry

And I thought she deserved a pretty picture of herself LOL

While I was out there.....the barrel horses were in their pen really wantin to check her out.....(in other words standin still enuff for me to do this) LOL

Lil Lilly and I went on a mini trail ride today.

Miss French Fry was a perfect lil lady. We had so much fun. It's been a long time since she and I rode together. I rode one of her barrel saddles. Because she's robbed so much stuff offa my three saddles over the last few years. I've gotta pick which one will fit her the best, and then do some swappin around. I got off billets missin, stirrups missin....girths missin. LOL

Lilly....the first horse{well pony} my kids ever rode was named French Fry. Greg and his bro went to pick this pony up,stopped at fast food outlet, the pony kept nudging them for the frys...hence his name. He was a little bugger, was great with one kid on him but double him up and boom off the kids went..... Very Happy

Well I know Miss French Fry is in good hands now...I've seen how you can put the lbs on a horse, like that ole ropin horse you got...be careful though or you'll end up like this place..the home for geriactrics...lol Glad to hear you went riding again...it's been awhile...

Well, Lilly, what a great project to take on. And I'm like Haymaker, lets see progress pictures here.

I just love good old horses. They deserve something special and they don't always get it. French Fry is lucky. Thanks for sharing.

Well your geriactrics are just like mine...they'll live a long time on this place..lol Although, hubby has made the decision to put down his longtime friend, whom he's had since "Bob" was 4 and he's in his upper 20's now,,, his hips have pretty much given out, and he can hardly walk..hate to do it,,but with the bug season coming on, they will make his life miserable and very possibly get him down for good, so when the day comes it'll be a sad sad day, but needs to be done...

I've been ridin French Fry in the evenin's when Lil Lilly rides her horses. But I've been usin one of her barrel saddles, since she's robbed so much stuff offa my saddles over the last few years. LOL I have three.....none of which have everything on em to ride. So today, I robbed an old breast collar offa one of her old saddles. Thought my "New old horse" could use a "new old breastcollar" So I did some playin and this is what I came up with. I know it ain't prolly nothin you rancher fellas wanna put on your horse, but hehe....I just did it cuz I knew Lil Lilly would want one too. (Which when she came home and I was still paintin on it, she said, "Uhggg, MY horses are the ones that wear leopard print!!!!) So now I guess I gotta do another one LOL .
