I like it. Straight stirrup leathers, deep seat, looks like it's built strong and equipped with all the necessities. Looks like a good ride.

Looks like a full double rig. We consider them more of a arena saddle then a All Day rig. Might just be a local preference.

Other then that it will be the fit and ride that say whether it is a good saddle. Smile

ps Won't your mule be jealous?

Haymaker--Looks alot like the last saddle I got that I ordered from Hereford/Tex Tan...Nothing fancy- or as nice as my old one- but not a bad saddle...

Gabe approves of it Wink

Good lookin saddle old Timer, where did you get it ?
I have had good luck with Billy Cook saddles, but a little pricey for what I do,think I will keep it around $600 this time.................good luck

PS the one I have pictured is $600 on ebay.......5 year guarantee on the tree.

I custom ordered it thru a saddlemaker that was a Tex Tan dealer several years ago (wanted a 17" seat- and bullhide covered tree) when my old saddle fell apart with red rot... I think it was about $1100...We decided that as much riding as I do anymore it's probably all I need- and will probably outlast me.....
