We're starting out the New Year on a happy note with an addition to the family.

It's been a tough fall with the loss of Zelda, but this new little girl should keep us busy for a while. She was born on November 13, and we are picking her up on New Year's Day. She's a purebred German Shepherd. Her mother is black, and her father looks as much like Zelda as any dog I've seen, so I'm sure she'll be a fine dog. She's from working lines, has good cattle dogs and RCMP dogs in her family as well.

The debate over a name is raging on! So far the short list has been whittled down to Elsa (my favourite), and Molly (Hubby's favourite). I guess we'll know which is right when we get her home and see her personality really show.

She's the one on the right with the little red bell on her collar. She's five weeks old in the picture.

Beautiful and classy looking puppies for sure!!!
I bet she wins you all over...and it won't take but a day or two.
Good for you for getting another pup. The highest compliment
we can pay a good dog we have lost, is to get another.

My security crap on this ' puter won't let me post pics anymore. Gator was a red/white Aussie male...best damn dog ever made!!!

I had to put him down about 2 yrs ago, he'd gotten asthma sooooo bad , was the worst day of my life but I had to.

The guys and gals at the elevator yesterday told me that with 2 new grandbabies on the way- I'd have to get rid of that old feed pickup and get a new 4 door....I ran that the idea of putting my bale bed on Grandmas (the bookkeepers) new 4 door 3/4 Ton.....The response was not as hot as I had hoped for....Something about "If we get a 50 bushel wheat crop and $2 calves"-- so I got the impression that scam ain't gonna work.....

HIGH TECH- ALABAMA STYLE

THREE ALABAMA WOMEN,TWO YOUNGER, AND KOLA,

WERE SITTING NAKED IN A SAUNA. (Kiddie Pool)

SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BEEPING SOUND.

THE YOUNG ALABAMA WOMAN PRESSED HER FOREARM AND THE BEEP STOPPED.
THE OTHERS LOOKED AT HER QUESTIONINGLY.

"THAT WAS MY PAGER ,SHE SAID.

I HAVE A MICROCHIP UNDER THE SKIN OF MY ARM."

A FEW MINUTES LATER, A PHONE RANG.

THE SECOND YOUNG ALABAMA WOMAN LIFTED HER PALM TO HER EAR.

WHEN SHE FINISHED,SHE EXPLAINED,

"THAT WAS MY MOBILE PHONE ,I HAVE A MICROCHIP IN MY HAND."

KOLA FELT VERY LOW-TECH.

NOT TO BE OUT DONE, SHE DECIDED SHE HAD TO DO SOMETHING JUST AS IMPRESSIVE.

SHE STEPPED OUT OF THE SAUNA AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM.
SHE RETURNED WITH A PIECE OF TOILET PAPER HANGING FROM HER REAR END.

THE OTHERS RAISED THEIR EYEBROWS AND STARED AT HER.

KOLA FINALLY SAID......... " WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT...

I'M GETTING A FAX " !!
