That is a very special picture and occasion, Lilly. I am sure that L'il Lilly knows how fortunate she is to be able to reach across 4 generations!
Congratulations!

Granny has a very special place in my heart. She shares the same birthday that my grandmother had, which I was very close to growing up. The year Lil Lilly was born, I lost my own grandmother. Granny is so much like her, it was only natural for her to fill a void that loosing my own had left.
I spent every summer with my own grandmother from 2nd grade thru my freshman year, at which time we moved back to my hometown where she lived. I learned so much in those summers. Then to have a woman like Granny, to learn from as well has been amazing. They have alot of the same hobbies, which we've shared over the years. Quilting and sewing, canning and baking, gardening. Alot of the old ways have been passed down that might not have been otherwise.
