I found this site when looking for the "Ruffian"story. It is cool, and a great tribute to the horses of all areas interest. Even has "Mr. Ed" and "Trigger" stories in there.

ETG did you find the Ruffian story?? That is such a good read. What an amazing horse. The article I read in Equs many yrs ago said that she tried to finish the race. It's a tragedy what we ask of animals when they are so young.

Yea I did, I posted the story over on the Preakness thread...the tragedy with Barbado reminded me of "Ruffians Story" . Just sad for such a great creatures.

Thgere's some good stories in those Quarter Horse legends books. My favorite bucking horse of all time that I've seen out in person was 'AirWolf'-he was a true bronc and he bucked hard for a long long time. Kingsway was a great horse but a bit more honest than AirWolf. Cool Alley and Grated Coconut are pretty tough to beat of the horses getting hauled now.

LOL..NR...well we use to have a saying about the GREY BADGERS too!!
See you should email those folks on the legends site and get them to do some stories on the Rodeo Stock.
