Had to go to Reserve after horse feed this morning, and look what I saw on the way home...........
Two of these babies are ones you already saw a while back, but there are 2 new ones.......the Belgian mare's colt is pretty hard to see, I think it must be the youngest of the bunch, and it didn't want to get up......I think you can see it in a couple of the pics, though. Looks like the ole Strawberry Roan! Look way over to the right side of the pic......that's its mama facing the camera.

The other new one is Penny's.......right here next to the Belgian mare.

Another pic of the babies and their mamas.....the Paint mare in the back is the only one who hasn't had her baby yet, but it doesn't look like it'll be long for her, either.

I was wrong about Lady's baby (right in front) being a filly, it's a horse colt for sure! Saw him go to the potty............definately a horse colt. Boy is my face red!

Another pic of them all........you can see Penny's paint colt pretty good in this pic. The paint mare's colt is the oldest, then the sorrel mare's (Lady) is next oldest, Penny's and finally the Belgian mare's........can't remember if this is Belle or Babe.......they look just alike and Babe is Belle's daughter.

Another one that shows Penny's baby off pretty good.

Friends to the end.................

Good broody looking mares - some have already milked down abit. Looks like you're well on your way to raising some nice babies.

What do they eat? Looks like just dirt there! Or are they on a bare spot when you took the picture?

Looks like dandy colts, but those mares are getting thin. They need some more groceries, looks like to me.

They are a little thin, but I don't think BIL would appreciate anyone telling him that. They are all his caballos.......and I'm not sure what they eat, to be honest. The pasture looks a little bare to me, too, but then, all his do. He's bad about overgrazing. Hopefully, it won't be long before we start getting some grass coming on........looks like we could get some rain this evening. Very Happy

I just thought the babies were cute, though, and wanted to share.
