Taking the last bunch of steer calves and their mothers to summer pasture at our neighbor's place

It was another nice cool cloudy windy day to do it. The cattle sure never got hot, and the cowboys didn't either. Wink

Out the gate they come

Water scurrying along on its way to the Gulf of Mexico

About to the bridge

Black cattle in motion

Crossing the bridge

Two cowpokes

Cowpunchers about to cross

The bridge seems to be holding up well

The third Ralph Shimon saddle I've owned

My redneck horse

A grouse nest

The drive is progressing well.

Our son's invention--his redneck barbeque grill

Close-up view

Newly acquired cats on one of the last days they get to stay in the house. Wink

Same cats with a flash

Nice pic's Soap. Why didn't you show us the saddle you bought in January?

Your cattle look great! There's nothing nicer than having a nice, cool day to trail cattle. Also, it's a relief not to be moving them in dust.

I haven't put it on a horse yet, but here it is. The stirrups aren't quite right, and another pair should be on the way. They need to only be 2 and 1/2 inches across at the top instead of the customary 3 inches, so they are special ordered.

It isn't a brand new saddle, but it seems to be well made and the price was right. Some day I will try it out.

Thanks, I been wondering where it was.
It hadn't shown up in any of your pictures, cuz I was watching for it.
Yep, looks to be well-made and I sure like the looks of
that inlaid seat.

I thought it looked like it would fit a horse good, too.
Hope you like it!! I bet you will.

And those are some mighty fine looking calves. Gonna be worth
some money this fall, too. They are talking $1.15 for 600 lb. calves--
or that's what we have been hearing. Be more in your country cuz of
the freight.

Soap, your grass is sure pretty! I can't figure why ya keep agravating those ol' cows by moving them when the feed looks wither high on a tall horse? Wink Thanks for packin' your camera and not being scared to point it at stuff and pull the trigger! Very Happy

I like that hull. It is the kind you sit in instead of sitting on it. Hope it fits you & your cayouse. Green is an awful nice color. We are still waiting. Last night it came .15 about bed time. Today we had 2.5 inches of wind. We still have a roof over our heads, so I will try not to gripe too loud.

I agree with Shortgrass on the "sittin-in" verses "sittin-on" part. Looks to be well made, who's the maker? Also, whats the saddle in the background, the one with all the chrome?

BTW-cattle & grass are lookin good.....aught to finish-out pretty nice.
