Thanks ya'll, this is a picture that was taken Jan 21, 2007. Mr Lilly's Grandma turned 102 years old. She's a very special lady. Seen wayyyy more than any of us can even think about, in her lifetime.

Thanks for the votes, but they were all GREAT photo's. All worthy of winning. Congratulations to everyone!!!! Very Happy

Sorry it's late being announced, the laptop died last night. Or I assume it's dead for the time being, blue screen with the words "Dumping all physical memory" Whatever that means. So it's back to the old desk top...that's sitting on my kitchen table now, the phone line it was attached to is history...so had to move it. I'll do my best to continue taking care of the contest until the laptop is fixed...or buried...one of the two LOL.

I figgered if that was Mr. Lilly, then the lady was some relation to him.....they have the same eyes......and something else I'm not quite able to put my finger on.

Happy Belated Birthday to her, we share a birthday! Very Happy

I also have a great aunt who will be 102 in November......

Congrats to you Lilly, and to Mr. Lilly's Grandmother!!!!! Very Happy

That is a very special picture and occasion, Lilly. I am sure that L'il Lilly knows how fortunate she is to be able to reach across 4 generations!

Congratulations!

Granny has a very special place in my heart. She shares the same birthday that my grandmother had, which I was very close to growing up. The year Lil Lilly was born, I lost my own grandmother. Granny is so much like her, it was only natural for her to fill a void that loosing my own had left.
I spent every summer with my own grandmother from 2nd grade thru my freshman year, at which time we moved back to my hometown where she lived. I learned so much in those summers. Then to have a woman like Granny, to learn from as well has been amazing. They have alot of the same hobbies, which we've shared over the years. Quilting and sewing, canning and baking, gardening. Alot of the old ways have been passed down that might not have been otherwise.
