SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Authorities are looking for a man who posed as a highway patrol trooper and pulled a woman over at a highway rest stop near Oelrichs.

Investigators say the woman had stopped at the Highway 385 rest area in western South Dakota to let her dog out. As she started to leave, a man pulled up in a car that resembled a highway patrol vehicle told her he was working as a special officer.

He grabbed her when she tried to get away but she was released when her dog bit the man.

Fall River County Sheriff Jeff Tarrell says the woman was lucky to have had her dog along.

I'm afraid I'd have to shoot the guy myself. My dog would likely only give him a good licking...with his tongue!

why i love my Dobe: he would've gotten in they guy's car long enough for me to call 911 Smile
