| I got in on the thread in the middle.....I'd been on the list earlier. Nothing for anyone to gloat over...it's just differences between you and me....makes the world go around .....instead of being lop sided to the right all the time!!!

It seems like some folks in the conservative camp (not all) defer having beliefs whatsoever. If GW opines it or does it, it is Gospel. Regardless of whether it is politically motivated by considerations that the person would reject if they were explained to the person (such as Dubai Ports).
They're ALL politicians and most of them have some decent motivations and some "earn money for the party, extend the coattails, enrich myself and my friends" motivations. That's the way it is folks. As citizens, we have to form our own opinions. We cannot JUST agree with a particular "rebbe" like my sister-in-law...

| Absolutely, Kola spends too much on shoes, loves firearms and ranching WAY too much to be a good liberal. That's what's amusing about the liberal label and the way it's applied in this forum. Most of us "liberals" are considered very conservative by our children's generation and by the liberal Congress people. My liberal friends think I'm a bourgeois tool sell out. My conservative friends think I'm too liberal. I would say I'm over the liberal line on the spectrum but not that far over. Yet here I'm labeled part of the lunatic leftwing fringe (or whatever the bullseye cartoon says). Go figure.
