I missed the 4H show and sale this summer, so i have to sell my steer. I am in southern Saskatchewan, so is now a good time to sell him?

How heavy is he? I think its a darn good market to sell into if there under 1100 lbs. Anything over that and the price seems to slip a bit.

If he's fat and ready to butcher why not put an ad in the paper to see if someone want freezer beef. you would know how much your getting before he leaves home. Check out and see what fat steers are worth in your area and work from there.

He is 1140 lbs, and very small framed. We are taking a losd in tomorrow, and i guess ill have to think a bit more. Anyone else's opinion? All opinions are greatly appreciated.
