I see you have a new avatar. Is that your bale hauling outfit?

Yeah,

We got that gooseneck trailer back a year ago when we had to haul straw from a good distance away. Works good, can load 19 , 2000 lb bales on there. We also have a Morris hayhiker for moving bales but most of the time I have it rented out. Smile

We got ourselves a new hay hauling unit this year. Hubby bought himself a 1993 Western Star this spring and then him and the best friend went together and bought themselves a 48 ft. flatdeck this summer. They're hoping to haul hay to the dehy plant in Outlook. We'll use it to haul hay home from our farther fields, but for close hauls, we'll use our Highline bale wagon. We did have a semi and trailer already, but neither one is good enough to go any distance. The truck was a 1962 Hayes pulling a 53 ft. trailer. Quite the beast, to say the least. I always knew when they were coming home with a load, because you could here that truck for miles!!!

An old fella in Wyoming had some sort of an old truck that was really noisy. When one of the family members were using it and he was home, when he'd hear it coming he would invariably say,

"Hark! I hear the sound of a powerful engine."
