With the arrival of our youngest daughter 6 months ago, our current house became officially too small. So this is what's been taking all my spare time the last year or so...
PS... jury is still out on the orange paint (wife says 'burnt' orange Wink ) but I think it will be ok when trime and such is up. Hopefully.

Silver post some more pictures of your new house,I have always wanted to sell out head for British Columbia build me a good tight log cabin ,stock it with vittles and whiskey a pretty lady and just hole up for the winter................good luck

Nice house, Silver. The logs and rustic look give it a great western flavor. Keep sending pictures.

Good job! I like the way you sawed the logs in half for the steps. I want to see the rock fireplace too!

We got the logs out ourselves, peeled them, then I hired a guy for the log work that actually knows what he's doing. I told him what I wanted, then the two of us did it.
Since the logs have been up I've been on my own, learning as I go. Kids are excited because they finally get their own rooms.

Unbelievable! Exclamation That is some really great work. Very Happy How long do you let the wood cure before you use it? Not being a craftsman myself, what kind of wood is it? Pine?
