MCG and I have been out harrassing the elk the past couple of weeks. Sure is fun. I should just take the camera and leave the bow home and take all of my shots digitally. Have had so many elk come into range, had a 7x7 come in Friday night that would score really well, but he knew something was wrong and turned around and left at 50 yards. Saturday morning we got into the middle of a large herd, got busted by a very good 6x6 and then this little dufuss came walking right into us. He stopped when he heard my camera but posed for another shot. After that we had another 6 come walking by us just out of range and then a 6x7 walked right past me at about 15 yards and I let him get down past me where MCG was positioned and cow called him. He stopped but right behind a tree from her view point which was about 50 yards from me so she could not shoot. When he moved forward she let him have one but she hit him low. Found the blood trail but it played out and we could not find him Cry She is over looking for him again. We then found a 6 that winter killed and then later in the day we found another 6 that died from fighting, he had an eye poked out and extreme blood on the brain from the apparent horn to the eye, we cut into him to see what he died from, major blood loss just like he had been shot. There better be elk in heaven or I aint going. What a good couple of hunts we have had so far.

Too small cause we are horn hunting, the freezer is full

Same bull, I don't get pictures of the big ones cause I am nocking an arrow and calling for MCG, she owes me big time Wink
