Will Obama Support Chicago Surge? Hometown Death Toll Double Iraq's

Barack Obama famously refused to support the surge in Iraq, claiming it would "make things worse [1]." Events have of course proved him very wrong, as Obama had to admit [2]to Bill O'Reilly. Now that he's acknowledged the efficacy of a surge, will he call for one . . . in his own hometown?
As per this item [3][via Drudge] from the CBS affiliate in Chicago:
An estimated 123 people were shot and killed over the summer. That's nearly double the number of soldiers killed in Iraq over the same time period.
So how about it? Will some enterprising MSM member ask Obama if he'll call for a police surge to protect the lives of his own Illinois constitutents?

| I do not understand some of you people here.First The black folk are just lazy good for nothings in New Orleans...Now the Blacks in are Chicago are Corrupt....Some of you even use slang to poke fun at these people,Yet you bang the drum for GW Bush....This is starting to look race based to me....The way some of you come across in here looks like you do not like obama because of the color of his skin....I am sure you could find alot of white corruption if you looked a little bit in washington,but yet you defend those white guys.As I said,some of you flip floppers I just do not understand...

No I do not think they will let go of palin,she really is the conservatives best chance to win .....so it will probably be in november,not sooner......

Just an observation Larry of what has been written here by some of the folks....Call it what you want,it seems to be what happens here...If you want to deny it thats ok but leave it to a consevative to attack the writer rather then defend the statements...

I don't go through every post, maybe it happens but I can tell you there are many liberal posts that are racist and sexist.
I did not say anything racist so do not throw that around and hope it sticks. Just remember if you are going to be fair call it both ways or otherwise you will be labeled a hypocrite.

Philadelphia murders, last year 392, the year before 406,.. so they tried a surge..

Often the numbers of the murders in the cities is spoken about when the annual report comes out. otherwise most of us ignore the scope of the problem..
Should everyone just ignore the crime in our cities because a large portion of the crimes are committed by minorities?
Would it be acceptable for blacks to be excused of the murders they commit as long as we can further race relations..
To avoid looking at a desperate situation and avoid addressing the problem.. black leaders ignore the problem.. they get votes and then move on to higher offices.. then they move to better neighborhoods.. and then they forget about the problems they were elected to fix..
Obama is no different when it comes to ignoring the plight of his neighborhood,.. when the houses he helped get renovated as a community organizer fell apart he was already gone.. when the projects he helped win millions in funding for was squandered, he was already gone.. he didn't look back in disgust.. no he took most of the "friends" on as staff at his campaign..
it is that same ignoring that created the crime ridden city.. sure he meant well, so did every one else before him.. and that replaced him.. but the problem still exits and is worse..
so how are we to act.. like it is acceptable?.. just part of reality.. sorry barrack couldn't fix it so it must not exist..
no the fact is he didn't leave it any better then it was before..
so if it's racist to say the cities are crime ridden and high numbers of murder is a problem.. then we have a serious problem.. because if it keeps getting ignored it will never get solved..

First off the biggest issue in any crime driven society is drugs.....secound is unemployement....Third is education...It is not about what color you are .there are white people falling into these cracks more and more each day....Instead of looking for reasons to blame,why not look for reasons to help....If one idea fails, try another...Drugs are the down fall of many american people and thier families....Many laff at ideas like clean injection sites....but it gets people in to an arera that if they want help with addiction they can get that help.It keeps disease and crime down..It offers hope and insight.it takes the ugliness of life off the streets...Yet nobody wants that in thier neighbor hood...Cold turkey wont wont work...
Anyways I digress ...

Label me what ever you want..I see what I see,as do you ..I never said your name nor anyone else's..You do not have to go through post's to know about the negative writtings and comments made by people here regaurding New Orleans and now chicgo..
