Mrs Greg if you are offended by something I say then politely tell me. I have no problem with that.
I find it odd now as OT told me you were offended because when we were talking about gun control and I brought up the Beheading in canada. He said it had local implications. Now it seems that was wrong. Guess I was lied to.
I know you defended Palin in the attacks and to that I commend you. I challenge you to show where I am a racist. I am not. I do find the racism directed to whites offensive also as evidenced by Obamas actions.
As far as my service I am not telling as I am not telling personal details of mine. You see on another board once I had serious threats made to me by a liberal and so my history is my own. That is probably why I dobn't cut libs a lot of slack. Do not be offended if I call you a lib, to you it is not meant to be derogatory. I do think you are a nice liberal woman.
There are three or four others who are over the top liberals who are the hypocrites I condemn.
Not once did I say you were racist, your the one that jumped on my post, the flag wasn't the issue I was concerned about at the time, hadn't even read the thread so wasn't sure what you were even talking about.

OT and I never directly talked about the beheading thread, although I do have to admit it was a nasty slam. When I pm'ed you I even pasted the post that ticked me off,you understood that.

I don't take being called a liberal as a slam because some things like racism is a liberal stand I'm for.Treating people as equals, healthcare available for all!!

I also do not agree with Abortion...EVER. Our Gun control and young offenders act drives me crazy!I believe alot of liberals have legislated morals out of our society. We should still be saying the Lords prayer in schools. It should be Merry Christmas, not Happy Holidays.

Call me what you want,it really doesn't bother me,my Scottish background taught me to fight for what I believe. I may not be a typical Liberal or Conservative but like my grampa taught me...Nobody in this world walks above or below you,its a stand I'm proud of.

AMEN-- I don't think there is a person alive that follows an all conservative stance or an all liberal stance...Each person has to develop their beliefs on each issue by their life experiences and personal knowledge...
I feel sorry for those that drink the cultist KoolAid and have to follow lockstep with any party- having to check the party stance first before they can decide what they believe in.... Rolling Eyes

The best example to me is the abortion issue-- while I don't approve of it- and don't support it-- I do believe in a persons right to make their own choices with what to do with their body- and believe that choice should be left to be decided between the woman, her doctor, and her God--- and that a bunch of grey haired old men in D.C. should stay out of that decision..... In the same grain- I disaprove of those old grey haired men telling me I have to wear a helmet on a motorcycle- or a seat belt in a car...Or them telling me that if I'm totally incapacitated and unable to care for myself or enjoy life - I shouldn't be allowed to make the choice of dying with dignity...

Tell us this for the record - Do you believe a person's right to do as they want with their body should extend to the point of doing fatal injury to another body? If the other body is weak and/or defenseless?

I'm not going to argue abortion with you..

Like I said- I don't approve of it--but since there is no solid definition/knowledge of when life begins- I believe that decision should be left up to the individual after consultation with their doctor and their God...They have as much or probably more realization of the situation then those old grey haired men...

Arguing abortion is the same as arguing whether war violates the "thou shall not kill" commandment- and historically this country has left that decision up to the indivudual and their God- hense " the conscientious objection"....Or the when is someone technically dead because their brain no longer functions- a decision that has historically been left to the family, their God, and the doctor...

The Bible answers all them questions, just a matter rather you believe in the Bible or not!

Ps. Sorry Kolan, been a while since I brought out the Bible, but sometimes I just can not resist Smile

Mrs. Greg, would it be different if some one tried to bribe McCain with a "cracker" ??
