| there's sixty days left for both sides to determine their fate. if she shot the whole wad last night she's going to have a long two months. the focus for the repubs is going to mostly be on mccain although i think they'll try to make the most of palin to draw attention away from his weaknesses. i think if he had chosen a really strong person for vp it might have just drawn attention to his screwups on the campaign trail.

I doubt that "she shot the whole wad last night". I also have a feeling that the best is yet to come.
I have an inkling that her hometown handle "Sarah barracuda" is not without reason.
McCain was brilliant in his selection for a running mate.
The Dem's cannot touch her without potentially undoing everything they say they stand for and like to claim to have done for women and minorities.
Ohhh boy! I might actually enjoy this U.S. presidential race for a change!

[quote="RobertMac"]Simple, she appealed to Middle America...she came across as one of us!!!!!
Amen! And that is what most if not all career politicians forget..... They represent us! Blue collar, hard working, family loving, God fearing, small town dwelling Ranchers, Farmers, Welders, Cashiers, Service workers, Plumbers and the rest of middle America. And we get complacent and comfortable and allow them to forget us. I plan to tell every neighbor and friend to watch that speech, because that will inspire everyone of them to get involved and vote! And if Sarah Palin was a democrat, or an independent i would still be inpressed. You go Girl!!!!!

Then came Sarah Palin's debut for a national audience. Her speech was written by former White House speechwriter Matthew Scully but she has been rehearsing it for several days with McCain aides coaching her. Normally, experienced politicians work with speech writers to polish the words, but with such an important speech from someone who has never given a prepared speech to a national audience before, a pro had to write this one.

Hillary could not even handle the black man from IL, what is his name?
Palin would eat Hillary's lunch, and I doubt the vary much in regards women's wants except Abortion, and personally I think abortion is over played as regards how many women are for it or at least put it as the forefront issue facing their gender.
