My middle brother runs an outfitting business here in Utah. My youngest brother and i help him guide. This buck was taken with a bow last week. The youngest bro was the guide, and Tony was the hunter.

They had hunted this buck for a couple of days without getting close enough for a good shot. So they took the tractor and bailer into the field and drove past the group of bucks. Tony stepped off and when the tractor drove off the buck was 18 yards away. He went 30 yards and expired quickly!

A side veiw of the 28 inch 4 by 3. He is a young deer.

Tony, on the left with his trusty guide, Rich!

Had to let my son get some camera time. He loves to hunt with dad and loved feeling the velvet.

You know that song, "She think's my tractor's sexy"? I was the inspiration.

Is hunting from a tractor actually considered "fair chase" down there?
Here you are not allowed to even pack in game on a motorized vehicle unless it is licenced. Not that that stops a lot of practical minded folks.
What's the charge for a "tractor" hunt as compared to a horseback hunt?

The tractor should be a rather practical choice I would think. That loader is useful in spotting, hanging and carrying. The baler I am not so sure of its purpose! Confused

Maybe the tractor needs to be painted Cammo in order to fit in with the uniforms. Smile

So are John Deere's more valuable as hunting tractors, since they are already green? Say what? Besides, there is already a deer on the decal, which would tend to lure in fellow deer. Wink

I see the one in the picture is painted red so no one will mistake the loader for antlers.

Do tractor hunters hang from one side of the tractor with their rifles over the top, like the Indians hung out of sight on one side of their horses with their bow and arrows aimed over the back of the horse? This conjures up an interesting scene in my mind. Wink
