Temp was 96 today--this evening I took the grandkids to the PRCA rodeo- terrible thunderheads building in the north...At the rodeo I talked to some friends from Canada that were down- and they said almost an inch of rain at the port- some others further east (Glentana) reported 3/4 and inch size hail...

The radar shows that Big Muddies country could have picked up a sizeable amount in some parts-- showing 2-3 inches just north of the border near Scobey....

About half way thru the rodeo- the wind came up and the temp dropped Very Happy ...Just got home and the temp is 73 and the wind is blowing about 30 mph....Lightning flashing in every direction and it looks like another storm blowing in from the west...

The gauge said 6.5/10ths. Most of the rain came down horizontal though so the gauge might not have caught it all. Looked like a blizzard the rain was drifting so hard when it came down. Lots of wind but very little hail. Still hanging around with lightning in the east.

Hope it rains all night. Smile

Probably won't Sad

There is another one running right along the border- headed east...They reported penny size hail at Thoeny which is north of Hinsdale and west of Opheim...Temp down to 65 now...

Ended up with 1/2 an inch at the north place that came straight down and was just a nice rain-- nothing at all down on the river...

You guys can have ALL of my rain for a couple months. I'm still trying to get first cut done around here. Managed a stunning 89 bales without rain on them, but the rest has had between 3 and 6 inches. Farmers are starting to get real nervous since their crops aren't turning due to lack of heat.
