We were coming home from the movie Wall-e , and Sue said that horse is in the wire. We turned around and sure enough a horse back off the road had its front leg up and pulling back. I went to the house and knocked on the door, while Sue and Rex went over the Joe’s wife got a rope and we got there. The horse had pawed at a cattle panel that was wired to the fence. The shoe had caught the 2nd wire up on the panel and worked under the shoe and thru the first nail hole. Joe’s wife rand back and got a halter and a hacksaw in one of those little handles. The horse was good and I had to saw thru 4 of the wires before we could pull it out from between the shoe and hoof.

Horses are not very smart about these type things.

I recently built a new fence about 3 feet from an old one and had not had a chance to tear the old one down. A neighbors horse walked between the two fences where it converged into one and could not go any further.

To make a long story short, the horse stood between those two fences for 3 days instead of backing up about six feet to get out. Rolling Eyes
