On Dr. Phil this morning, was a woman whose daughter was getting married. The mother wanted to send shower invitations FROM THE DOG AS HOSTESS of the event. The daughter was protesting. This woman was plumb wacko over her dog. She really thought it was a person. Dr. Phil told her that the dog wasn't a person and SHE wasn't a dog.

This woman fed the dog off her own fork. Dr. Phil questioned that and she said "people feed their kids off their own fork"...to which Dr. Phil replied, "but kids don't like their butts"... Shocked Razz Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
(of course the woman said that "HER DOG DIDN'T DO THAT. She just didn't do doggy things." Razz

I like/love dogs as much as anyone--but there is a place to draw the line.

and that's the kind of dog that'll end up biting the face off some poor little kid.

the problem isn't the dogs--it's their owners that think a dog is some kind of 4-legged human (that licks it's butt!! Smile Smile )

i love corgi's as long as they're someone else's (did i ever tell ya the first dog that ever bit me was my parents' corgi?? the little napoleon..)--and i helped train the little short-legged B-------.

The first dog that ever bit me, I was 8 years old and the neighbor's German Shepherd grabbed my forearm and bit me quite good...I can still see the scars, believe it or not. I guess we all have bad experiences with different dogs. It's really hard to trust the breed again, even though there are nice ones out there....so I know where you are coming from.

I took the census in 1970 in SE Wyoming. I met many dogs going around to all those ranches. The dog that bit me? A dauchshund!!! Shocked

My Dad's dauchshud is an ornery little burger to people who drive in. It's kinda humerous to watch great big men shake by some little wiener.
