When the winning entry only gets ten votes I hardly think that their is some big conspiracy going on.

Win Loose Or Draw I enjoy the contest and could give a dam if they Cheat - V_Key and I each have our oun Computers and I can't get her to Vote for Me Sad Say what? Crying or Very sad Shocked

If I wind-up in the top Ten I feel I did good.

PS
Some people come on "Line" and Post WHY THEY VOTED the way they did and then the Voting Changes.

Example:
The Voting was going good on one Contest (Fare)
One photo had a BUSH Sticker in the Back Ground!
One member posted that he voted for that photo BECAUSE of that sticker
Suddenly That photo got a flury of votes!
Bush People/ UnderDogs have that need to be right - Bushs Pole went up Here Smile I expected to see that on the NEWS - Buchers need all the good News they can make-up get Exclamation

But I still ended-up in the Top 10 :Q Shocked

I have tried thinking of several ways to keep the contest from being sabatoged as it has been and I haven't come up with anything. I too, have had PM's about the disappointment with the direction the contest has taken. I can understand certs fustration, as she puts a lot of effort into this contest, much more than me. So folks, its up to you.
Do you want a contest to continue or not? If you do, we will have to abide by some fair play here and continue submitting one entry each and voting with only one name. Thank you all who have entered and I too, hope the contest can continue in a fair manner.

Thanks cert for all your efforts. You have done an excellent job.

We have seen this in the Show(s) rings also - I teach V_Key to have fun and .!... the cheeters. - - Where does it get them? I theah V_Key that it meens more to be in the Top 3 or 4 at every show - - The people worth if soon learn who sheats - - you soon learn that when they have Help (cheat) ther on Top the Next show their on the Bottom

I do business with the people that are always in the Top Bunch Cowboy Clap Clap

while most Photos are winners, and the "prize" is only in winning, so if the contest was rigged, then the winner would "know" they didn't really win, and get little satisfaction from the false win....I am sure that the stir it caused has in itself solved the problem....

with that said could we put the "past" conflict behind and move ahead.....so we can all enjoy the great photos.....

and maybe,....then why not post the winning picture on the main page?

I have to agree with Ranchwife. We have 4 users in my house. I have the only computer and I share it with them. I have enjoyed and entered a few times myself. I know I was accused of being someone else and I have entered a picture since then. I did message to Macon and he cleared that up, and I thought he took care of it with the other interested parties.

I tried to tell ya'll before when you were all arguing on another thread what would happen. A site will come down when all you do is nit pick each other and stap others in the back. Sad I like it here and would not like to see it fall apart.

Cert, I have always appreciated what you do here, it has been a cool spot to read and see the photos. I am not one that takes a lot of pictures and have to admire the ones that are artistic enough to capture such great photos. I would hate to see this thread go...

Why not just message the person you suspect and just ask?? for your info once more since I was the one blaintly accused before..this is the ONLY NAME I USE! Sad

HE COMES AND USES MY COMPUTER he works on the farms around here, I did introduce him to this site, at the time I thought it was a welcoming place and having learned alot from you all about different regions. BUT, now I am really wondering . OKAY NOW DOES THAT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ANYONE HAS ABOUT MY HOME?????? GUESS that I have to be the one with an OPEN BOOK!! Gee and to think I was going to get my Dad to look at the site...thinking now why introduce anyone to this site the way you all attack innocent people enjoying it.

Easty

PS... oops there is one other that uses my computer that drops in as well...since his computer is broken.

So guess that is actually 6 people that use my computer...hmmmm.

Rolling Eyes Ok, I'll fess up.........I get Al to help me vote on the photo contest sometimes, but still, between the two (or sometimes three, if Hubby's around, he gets a say in who we vote for) we still only cast one vote. I think one time we've voted for the picture we submitted and that was the only time.

Happy now? Rolling Eyes

I wasn't trying to stir anything up I just wasn't aware the Sage's daughter or your son were posting on here with us. Most of the time we get to know our family connections. Welcome your Dad we just wonder what the secrect is when some one doesn't want to id them selves. Guess Tam and I should have taken separate rooms in Deadwood. Wink

I had no idea that I kept anything a secret Confused . If I am asked I do tell. I know I have mentioned my son before, maybe it wasnt read but I have. No, I would never bring my dad onto a board that I am being attacked on. He is new to the computer, and at 72 he doesnt need any aggrivation, he needs a site that is welcoming. My son doesnt post much..but, yes he has. Trying to remember his nic, it is CB I think. He can tell ya'll on here tomorrow who he is. He is not home a lot, being 19 he tends to have a Social Life. And, yes we hold Kaitlyns typing fingers to a minumum...(Sages daughter). She comes on and reads, and loves to see the horses people have. One thing, is that it seems I am more of an open book than some on here that I KNOW..I am a simple country gal that lives in the sticks. I work a office job that I tend to hate, I am attending college full time to get out of that office job. My dad works about 400 acres, raising cattle and hay. Not as much as a lot of you up North but, it pays his bills and some. My son works with him. Hmmm I will give you whatelse you want. Would you like my Social Security number and Drivers License ??

And red robin...whatever you want to believe go for it.. Wink .

Thanks BMR

Easty

I missed something I think Wink

400 acres is nothing to sniff at. I only lived on 10 acres and city people can't believe we had so much land Exclamation Rolling Eyes

Welcome all of you, whoever posts or reads, as far as I'm concerned.

There's only ONE of me although my son said he might want to say hello to "mom's ranchers." My friends think I'm a kook with my three sets of cyber friends (widowed, CJD families, and ranchers).

But frankly, down to earth people are the nicest, friendliest, openest -- even with some of your idiosyncrasies, political and otherwise (and I match you idiosyncrasy for idiosyncrasy).

Wish my current guy liked the country but he's from a small farm and has taken to the city (London) after years of city live.
